Floating wall shelves
are the perfect accessory to give that unusual look to your home. Especially when there is little room it will give a less cluttered look. The looks of a floating shelf is amazing. You can’t see the hardware which is usually needed to support the shelf. This can be giving it the feeling of hovering free in the space. On the wall beneath the shelf you can’t see the metal brackets which creates the special look.
Like all shelves they are really handy for storage, with one difference: they are also decorative. Becarefull though:
- you really need to know on forehand what and mainly how many pounds you are allowed to store on it.
- Measure the needed dimensions.
- Oh, and… follow the instructions on how to hang them to prevent falling off because of a lousy attachment. normally you will have to attach the L brackets first to thefloatingg shelf (recommended is one for every 24″ for a good support). Only then attach the shelf to the wall while using a leveler.
